Counsellors Community - Derbyshire

The counsellors community I have put together is something I have had a desire to explore from early on in my counselling placement. Squeezing it in around full time work meant seeing clients in the evenings when there were very few people around and I found it lonely at times. I have since found I feel similar in private practice too and thought ‘I can’t be the only counsellor who feels this way.’
I now have a growing group of over 40 counsellors in the local area. We meet every other month, which I try to vary as much as possible in terms of when we meet, where we go and what we will be doing.
Lastly, we have a wonderful WhatsApp group chat where everyone chats, shares inspiration and asks questions.
Our next meet up
The Details
Date: Sunday 12th May
Time: 10am
Location:
National Stone Centre, Porter Lane, Wirksworth, Matlock, DE4 4LS
Activity: Gentle walk and coffee stop
Location
The National Stone Centre is a museum, an industrial heritage discovery centre and a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
They have plenty of parking (small charge) and a cafe where we can go for some light refreshments when we return for anyone who wishes to do so.
Timings
We will aim to meet at 10am and be set off walking before 10:15am to allow for anyone getting held up and give people a chance to pop to the loo etc.
I am planning for the walk to take around 90 minutes to allow us to return by midday.
Extra Information
I would recommend good footwear such as walking boots or wellies.
Please bring anything you think you may require, drink, waterproofs etc depending what the weather does on the day!
